the art of the collab

everyone will agree to a collaboration in theory. it all sounds good on paper.

“yeah man, that would be cool.” who wouldn’t say that? it’s the nice thing to do.

but the real trick to getting things done is to actually send an idea.

would you like to collab on this idea?” is a lot stronger than “would you like to collab sometime?”

professionals make the first move and over-deliver.

sure the recipient might say no, but at least now you’ll know and can move on or try again.

the safety in the “potential collab” is a nice comfort and all but i’m a bigger fan of putting yourself out there.
