perfect is a place to hide

perfection seems like a worthy endeavour but it’s an oasis. the idea of making something “perfect” is not only completely contingent on the taste of the person, but it’s also a crippling concept that renders all art impossible to finish. 

professionals have an idea, do their best to execute it, decide that its finished when they’ve given everything they can to it, and then deliver it.

i can’t hear a song you can’t finish.

i can hear a song that’s not perfect but you know you’ve done all you can do.
