Scary Monsters and Nice Flights

Halloween was an exhausting hodgepodge of both of my projects playing 3 shows in 48 hours and it was an absolute blast. I did 2 shows in LA with Glass Petals and 1 in Vancouver as Felix. It’s fun having both projects rolling at the same time.

The Brownies & Lemonade party in LA was full of energy, I love everything that company has contributed to the scene. Just throwing fun parties for the culture. We chatted about the bloghouse days, some of my shows back when I played with Wolfgang Gartner at Avalon, touring with MSTRKRFT. It’s sort of a full circle moment to bring up those things that I don’t often reflect on but it makes me feel grateful that I still get to do this as my job.

We had 20mins after that party to get to the next one and we made it just in time. A pool party at night at the end of October… it doesn’t get much more LA than that. Definitely not possible up here in Canada. We wore Misfits tees and skull makeup. Kinda nailed it. I forgot to play Halloween by the Misfits though… missed opportunity I guess. There’s always next year.

I was checking in for my flight home the minute I landed in LA, that’s how you know when things are a proper whirlwind. Once I landed in Vancouver it was off to the final show of the weekend dressed up as a carrot to accompany my girlfriend’s bunny costume. A fun party and a real late night that ended with a 3:30am drive-thru to get frostys, JBC’s and chicken strips. C’est L’Halloweeen!!

I’m off to Dallas on thursday… the tour continues!

Also might have a crazy pop up idea… could be fun Vancouver?

text me if you’re down.
